The 2023 PSAPs' Finest Awards from NICE recognize individuals for their outstanding contributions to the field of public safety in the following seven categories: Telecommunicator, Line Supervisor, Technician, Trainer, Communications Center Director/Manager, Innovator, Above & Beyond, and PSAP of the Year. The program also recognizes an individual annually with a special Lifetime Achievement award.

New for 2023, this award category recognizes innovators in emergency communications. The recipient of the "Innovator of the Year" award should be a trailblazer, someone who embodies change, progress and new ideas, with the goal of advancing and improving emergency communications.
